I continue my herbals studies, out of love, a calling, and in a desperate attempt to earn more silly certificates to acknowledge my efforts, in order to validate my work for the approval of {insert BS governmental agency here}.  The plants plot the course, again and again.  I’m not in control.  Please join me, let’s follow a path together as the Green Nations lead the way.

Look who’s arrived.  Who are these relatives? Such an interesting form of mediumship.

Meet Monarda fistulosa.  This is the native version of bee balm.  High in thymol like compounds and ironically susceptible to powdery mildew.  Leaves like velvet and blooms covered in swallowtail butterflies.  Hard to find for purchase in any volume, strong enough to not be needed in any volume.  Helps the body assimilate B12, especially useful with forms of intrinsic factor deficiency.  More to come….

Valerian 4/6/19 in Dr Nicole’s garden

Hello Valerian, Valeriana officinalis, bem vinda! Read about me here.

Anise-Hyssop Spring appearance in Dr Nicole’s garden. 4/6/19 (US Zone 6b)

Anise Hyssop, Agastache foeniculum.  A grievous error to miss from my materia medica.  This will be rectified. An excellent candidate for guerilla seed bombs.  Gorgeous purple flower spikes loved by pollinators.  Wonderful in respiratory blends, and much more I’m sure.  I can’t even describe the smell.  My dear friend Sean first  introduced me to this gorgeous and abundant being that self-seeds with gusto.
